Kevin Feige with news! Mr. Feige has confirmed that The Fantastic Four (2025) will be a period piece set in the 1960s in New York… just probably not the New York we know. In a recent interview Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, said: “There was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol and there was a cityscape in the corner of that image. There were a lot of smart people who noticed that that cityscape didn’t look exactly like the New York that we know, or the New York that existed in the ‘60s in our world. Those are smart observations, I’ll say.”
These cryptic words basically confirm that this will be a multiversal project, set in another universe! That is super cool, and I wonder how they’ll get to the main line MCU or if they will just stay on their world. Either way, awesome! Kevin Feige also confirmed when filming will start: “I am incredibly excited for what we're doing with The Fantastic Four right now, and what Matt Shakman, our director who did WandaVision for us, is working on. He's already moved to London, and we start filming at the end of July…”
This confirms that The Fantastic Four (2025) will start filming in July! Everyone was wondering when it was going to start filming, and now we know! I am very excited to see Marvel’s First Family on the big screen.
The Fantastic Four hits theaters July 25, 2025!
