DC Studios' Hires Hossein Amini To Rewrite Clayface (2026)

According to The Wrap, screenwriter Hossein Amini has been hired to rewrite the script for DC Studios' Clayface (2026). Amini is best known for writing the films The Two Faces of January (2014) and Drive (2011). Mike Flanagan originally wrote a draft for the film.
Clayface is set to be released on September 11, 2026. The film is scheduled to begin production in the United Kingdom in October 2025. No actors are currently attached to the project. The film will be directed by James Watkins from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini (assuming that some parts of Flanagan's script are kept, we don't know the full extent of the rewrite).
This is either concerning or no big deal; it all depends on whether this is a full rewrite or just a touch-up. I am excited for this film, and I hope that everything is going well behind the scenes and this rewrite is just a touch-up.
Clayface releases in theaters September 11, 2026!
