Don't worry, fellow Marvel fans! The highly anticipated Spider-Man 4, starring Tom Holland, has only been delayed by a bit. The release date has changed from July 24, 2026, to July 31, 2026—exactly one week later. According to most sources, the delay aims to create some space between Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey (2026) and Spider-Man 4 (2026) to avoid competition.

This isn't that disappointing to me, as it is only a one-week delay, and the reasoning behind it makes sense. It would suck for Spider-Man 4 (2026) to overshadow The Odyssey (2026) or vice versa. I am very excited for this movie!

The untitled fourth Spider-Man film is set to feature Tom Holland as the titular character, with Zendaya's MJ also expected to return. Amy Pascal, co-producer of the upcoming film, has previously hinted at the plot, saying, “We have to deal with the fact that he decided he was going to give up being Peter Parker and he was gonna focus on being Spider-Man because being Peter Parker was too hard,” Pascal said. “So that’s what the movie is about.” Destin Daniel Cretton is set to direct from a script by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna.

Spider-Man 4 is set to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026!
